I was diagnosed with MS twenty-two years ago. It changed my life’s hopes and dreams. It came at a time when I was also battling cancer. My outlook on life ahead was scary, and the unpredictable nature of the diseases was overwhelming.
I became involved with the MS community in Colorado with Walk MS and after moving to Kansas City,
I was fortunate to become a member of a bicycling group, WrestlingMS. It encourages people with MS to focus on their everyday lives by improving their strength, balance and physical endurance, along with confidence to tackle whatever challenges might lay ahead
WrestlingMS is a nonprofit bicycling organization that provides bike packages-bike, helmet, bike attire, and accessories- to those living with MS. It provides fitness opportunities and camaraderie for people.
WrestlingMS has organized a ride in Kansas City where we can safely ride laps this year at James A Reed Memorial Wildlife Area. The ride is scheduled for October 15th! Training for the ride has been ongoing since we organized. We’re eager to once again ride together and raise money for this great cause.
